Peter Smulovics is a Distinguished Engineer at Morgan Stanley with over 15 years at the firm and more than 30 years in the technology industry. He leads Windows and .NET Development Practices as well as Spatial Computing and Metaverse initiatives, while advancing cutting-edge work at the intersection of AI Agents, Smart Contracts, and Space Finance.
A 2× Microsoft MVP and early contributor to the C# programming language during his decade-plus tenure at Microsoft (working on .NET, Azure, Visual Studio, and HoloLens), Peter is a prominent open-source leader. He co-chairs Open Source Readiness and Emerging Technologies initiatives at FINOS (The Linux Foundation), serves as a FINOS Ambassador, and regularly speaks on quantum, XR/spatial computing, AI, and the future of financial technology infrastructure.
