Olubunmi Fabanwo is the Founder and Convener of the Africa Blockchain Festival (ABF), a leading pan-African platform that unites builders, policymakers, investors, regulators, and innovators to advance blockchain adoption, policy frameworks, and legislation across the continent. His work focuses on creating the dialogues and pipelines necessary for clearer, more progressive regulatory environments that unlock Africa’s digital economy potential.
A Nigerian-born leader now based in Toronto, Olubunmi transitioned from traditional finance (GTBank) and fintech into Web3, serving as Africa Affiliate Program Manager at Binance where he scaled a network of over 1,500 affiliates. He previously hosted the weekly show “Banks & Blockchain” and continues to drive ecosystem growth through high-level events featuring government dignitaries, central bank representatives, startups, and global partners. Through the Africa Blockchain Festival and related initiatives, he champions policy clarity, education, and collaboration so that blockchain and digital assets can deliver inclusive growth across African markets.
