A physicist with a Ph.D. from RWTH Aachen University, Carsten previously worked at the German Aerospace Center (DLR), Accenture, and the Machine Economy Innovation Programme at innogy SE. He serves as Chairman of the Supervisory Board of IDunion SCE, DIF Ambassador, and a Council Member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Future Network. His work bridges European digital identity frameworks (eIDAS, European Business Wallet) with Industry 4.0, circular economy, and trusted autonomous AI systems.
