Obinna Ukwuani is a Product & Strategy Executive and the former Chief Digital Officer of Bank of Kigali, Rwanda’s largest commercial bank. From 2020 to 2023 he led the bank’s Digital Factory — a center of excellence in business, design, and engineering — delivering major in-house digital products including mobile banking, internet banking, USSD channels, digital customer onboarding, micro-lending, and smartphone financing.
An MIT Economics graduate and former Paystack executive, Obinna brings deep experience in product management, fintech operations, and digital strategy. He is also a serial entrepreneur and education innovator, founding Exposure Robotics Academy and Makers Academy programs that introduced robotics and software skills to young people across Nigeria and Rwanda. Passionate about design, human experience, and frontier technology, he continues to shape product and strategy leadership at the intersection of traditional banking, fintech, and digital inclusion across Africa. At UN Blockchain Week he shares insights on building scalable digital financial infrastructure in emerging markets.
